Privacy Policy

MockLane is operated by Intendow LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data the service handles and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions about anything here go to info@mocklane.com.

Two different things, and it matters which is which.

Your account data, which you give us directly:

• Your email address. It is the only thing we need to create an account, because sign-in is a link sent to that address rather than a password.
• A Stripe customer reference, if you subscribe to a paid plan. We never see or store your card details — those go directly to Stripe.
• Ordinary server logs, including IP addresses, kept for security and debugging.

The data you send through the service, which is whatever you point at it:

• Webhook payloads captured at your capture URLs — full request bodies, headers, query parameters and the source IP address of the sender.
• Requests made to your mock endpoints, logged in the same way.
• Email messages delivered to your sandbox inboxes, including bodies, headers and attachments.

This second category is the important one. If you point a live integration at MockLane, whatever that integration sends — which may include your own customers' personal data — is stored by us on your behalf. Please use test data where you can.

Your email address is used to sign you in and to send service messages about your account. Captured payloads and inbox mail are held for one reason: so you can look at them, which is the entire purpose of the product. We do not use any of it to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.

On servers we operate in Amazon Web Services' US East region. Outbound email is sent through Amazon SES. Payments are processed by Stripe. Those three are the only third parties that data reaches, and each acts as a processor for us.

We keep the data you send until you delete it or until you delete your account, at which point it is removed along with the account.

Two exceptions, both shorter. Capture URLs created without an account are deleted, with everything captured at them, twenty-four hours after they are created. Sandbox inboxes with a retention period configured have their mail deleted on that schedule.

We would rather say this plainly than quote a retention window we do not currently enforce.

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including deleting your whole account. Email info@mocklane.com and we will action it. You can also delete individual captures, endpoints, workspaces and sandboxes yourself at any time from the dashboard.

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

MockLane does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Signing in stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in, and the site remembers your light or dark theme preference. That is all.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, for changes that affect you, tell you by email. See also our Terms of Service.
