Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Intendow LLC, which operates MockLane. By creating an account or using the service — including a capture URL created without an account — you agree to them.

MockLane is a testing tool: capturing webhooks, serving mock APIs, and receiving test email. It is built for development and testing work.

You may use it in whatever way suits that purpose, but please do not depend on it as production infrastructure — it is not built to be a system of record, and the availability terms below are the reason.

You agree not to use MockLane to:

• Break the law, or help anyone else do so.
• Send, store or distribute malware, or content you have no right to.
• Attack, probe or overload MockLane or anyone else's systems, including using mock endpoints or capture URLs as a relay or proxy to reach a third party.
• Get around quotas or rate limits, including by creating accounts or anonymous capture URLs in bulk.
• Store personal data you have no lawful basis to process. See the Privacy Policy — what you send us, we store for you.

We may suspend or remove an account that does these things. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.

Sign-in is by a link sent to your email address, so keep access to that address secure — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the people you invite to your workspaces.

Plans and their monthly quotas are listed on the pricing page. Those quotas are hard limits, not billing thresholds: when one is reached the API returns HTTP 429 until the quota resets at the start of the next calendar month. We do not charge overage, so you cannot run up a bill you did not choose.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your purchase for a full refund, no questions asked.

We may change prices. If we do, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to them.

A capture URL created without an account expires 24 hours after it is created, and everything captured at it is deleted then. Anyone holding the link and its access token can read what has been captured, so do not send anything sensitive to one.

We try to keep MockLane running and we will not be careless about it, but we do not offer a service level agreement and we do not promise any particular uptime. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, or for reasons outside our control.

Because this is a testing tool, please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

What you send through MockLane stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as we need to in order to run the service for you. We do not use it for anything else.

You can stop using MockLane and delete your account at any time, which deletes the data held under it. We may end this agreement if you break these terms, or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the service.

MockLane is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost or corrupted data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
